We've spotted the work of Saudi artists right in the middle of Kings Road, London! At the Italian fashion house Coccinelle, right next to the Saatchi Gallery, on display are four Saudi artists' bags...

The National Home Health Care Foundation (NHHCF), has partnered with leading fashion company Rubaiyat to launch a global charity art project that aims to develop the Foundation’s resources and strengthen the health and social services provided to patients in need and their families.

The new art project features the work of four Saudi artists from various regions of the Kingdom who have contributed with their artwork creations, which NHHCF in cooperation with Rubaiyat have printed on special handbags that have been developed and manufactured by Italian company Coccinelle.

The handbags were introduced at exhibitions in Jeddah, Riyadh and Al-Khobar, and have already gone on sale at Rubaiyat shops throughout the Kingdom and is now in the Coccinelle shops in London, UK!

The auctions accompanying the launching events in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar have raised more than SR 800,000 (more than $200,000). The full proceeds from all sales are being directed towards serving the NHHCF patients in need. Mrs. Abeer Qabbani, NHHCF Board Member and President of Resource Development and Public Relations, stated: “This new project in cooperation with Rubaiyat carries a charitable artistic message which reflects the new thinking adopted by the Foundation to fund its activities and charity programs...We are very pleased to have Rubaiyat as a partner since it is one of the most prestigious fashion houses in the Kingdom.”
