Lorenzo Ornaghi, Italian Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities, Mariarosaria Barbera, Superintendent of Rome Archaeological Heritage, Gianni Alemanno, Mayor of Rome, and Diego Della Valle, President of the Tod’s Group, announced the timing and the phases of the restoration of the Coliseum. Tod's is committed to restore the Coliseum for patronage only and without any commercial purpose.
Diego Della Valle said: "Tod's is proud to support this project by contributing to a better conservation of one of Italy’s symbols in the world and to strengthen our culture abroad. I hope that this sponsorship will stimulate tourism towards our country, creating employment opportunities in a sector where we surely are undisputed world leaders and that it can be an incentive for many Italian and foreign companies who care about the wonders of our cultural and artistic heritage.” The foundation will raise awareness of the restoration project in Italy and around the world and will try to motivate nonprofit actions that might attract young people to the beauty of this monument.
أعلن أورنزو أورناغي، وزير الثقافة والتراث الإيطالي الى جانب مارياروزاريا باربيرا، مديرة التراث الأثري في روما، وجياني أليمانو، عمدة روما، ودييغو ديلا فالي، رئيس مجموعة تودز، اليوم عن موعد ترميم مبنى الكوليزيوم والمراحل التي سيمر بها فضلا عن التفاصيل المتعلقة برعاية المشروع.
وتلتزم دار تودز بترميم مبنى الكوليزيوم بهدف الرعاية فقط وذلك من دون أي مشروع أو غرض تجاري.
وصرّح دييغو ديلا فالي: "تفتخر تودز بدعمها لهذا المشروع من خلال المساهمة بالحفاظ على إحدى الرموز الإيطالية العالمية وتعزيز ثقافتنا في الخارج. آمل أن تدفع هذه الرعاية عجلة السياحة في بلدنا وأن تخلق فرص عمل جديدة في قطاع نضطلع فيه بالدور الريادي على الصعيد العالمي بلا منازع. وآمل أيضا أن تكون هذه المبادرة حافزا للعديد من الإيطاليين والشركات الأجنبية التي تحرص على تراثنا الفني والثقافي العظيم."
وستعتزم المؤسسة لفت الإنتباه الى مشروع الترميم في ايطاليا والعالم والتشجيع على تبني المبادرات غير الهادفة للربح التي قد تجذب الشباب لجمال هذا المبنى العريق.
