Art Dubai partners with Delfina Foundation, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and Tashkeel to run Artists-in-Residence (A.i.R) Dubai, an annual residency programme which gives international and UAE-based artists and curators the opportunity to be based in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood (formerly known as Al Bastakiya), in Dubai.
AiR Dubai is accepting applications from UAE-based artists (both UAE Nationals and residents of all nationalities) for four residency places, and from Emirati curators for the Assistant Curator role:

A.i.R Dubai supports artists by providing a platform to develop their practice and create new work, while facilitating exchange between the artists, the local communities, and the broader cultural landscape. Through the course of the programme, participating artists are commissioned to produce site-specific works for Art Dubai Projects, and take part in a series of artists’ talks, workshops, Open Studios, and other outreach and community programmes at the residency house in Al Fahidi.
In 2015, A.I.R Dubai's programme will include two international artists (by nomination) and four artists from the UAE, selected through a competitive open call. The assistant curator will work alongside the Projects Curator, who manages the residency and Art Dubai Projects.
Previous A.i.R Dubai artists and curators include: Ebtisam Abdulaziz, Ammar Al Attar, Nadia Ayari, Zeinab Al Hashimi, Hadeyah Badri, Fayçal Baghriche, Sunoj D, Dina Danish, Maitha Demithan, Reem Falaknaz, Alexandra MacGilp, Sara Al Haddad, Magdi Mostafa, Joe Namy, Nasir Nasrallah, Yudi Noor, Maryam Al Qassimi, Bérénice Saliou, Deniz Üster, and İpek Ulusoy Akgül.
