Turkish-Based Artist Bente Christensen-Ernst Exhibits Her Latest Works in #Beirut (Nov. 18)

Beirut
The visual artist Bente Christensen-Ernst, who is working in Antakya, Turkey, exhibits her works on Gallery 169 in Saify Village from Tuesday November 18 to 28, 2014.
Bente Christensen-Ernst has exhibited her works in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, England, France, Italy, Turkey, Syria, and USA. In Syria she had two solo shows before the war, one in ArtHouse in Damascus, and one in Gallery Karma in Aleppo.
Bente Christensen-Ernst is a neo-realist, but she uses the titles of her pictures as captions, and thus she transforms the works into metaphors. She has also been flirting with a new approach to the style of Orientalism. The title of her next solo show in New York in December will be Neo-Orientalism.
Besides her studio in Antakya, Bente Christensen-Ernst also has a studio in Istanbul and one in Copenhagen.
