Inauguration of a new space in Dubai the 18 January 2016: the Custot Gallery Dubai.
Founder Stéphane Custot will showcase his experience of more than 25 years in the art industry. With galleries in both London and Paris, Custot Gallery Dubai, situated within the heart of the vibrant Alserkal Avenue district, Dubai’s recently-opened artistic and cultural hub, is Stéphane Custot’s latest project. The new gallery aims to introduce international post-war and contemporary art into the Gulf market and to set up shows with local artists. More information attached.
The opening exhibition The World Meets Here, will be a group show, including large-scale works making the most of the 9-metre high ceilings. The works included will be by celebrated international artists such as Chu Teh-Chun, Marc Quinn, Pablo Reinoso, Bernar Venet and Zao Wou-Ki.
The gallery will open on the same evening as Alserkal Galleries Night, at art event including talks and performances. In addition, most of the gallery’s artists, Fabienne Verdier, Ian Davenport, Jedd Novatt, Marc Quinn and Bernar Venet.
