HAZEM HARB
I can imagine you without your home
20 February – 14 March
I can imagine you with out your home, is the debut exhibition in the UAE by Palestinian artist, Hazem Harb. The exhibition brings together a unique body of work, which explores the artist’s first hand experience of the on-going conflict in his native Gaza. Harb’s exhibition demonstrates his interest in how the invasion of private space manifests itself in the psyche of people who experience conflict, in other words, the cognitive manifestation of conflict. Through his art, he brings to the foreground, the human conditions in these situations, highlighting what is left behind through photography, film and mixed media installation.
