The focus of his work in this exhibition is on a different "Body", one that is more open to shape and medium. The flat and 3 dimensional works are inspired by this lost memory, in all its simplicity. The designs rely on suggestive shapes. The shapes resemble the human body or things that the artist cannot really identify but still feel familiar with, that they end-up imposing themselves like any other known shape. What Zaman is trying to present in this exhibition is a balance between the past, which he does not copy but use as an inspiration and a present that creates our future. A present that tomorrow's generations will consider their heritage.
