"Moza" a triptych from "Fighter"
Al Marri has explained that the story of ‘Fighter’ is a powerful mix of two subjects – the history of brave female warriors in Arabia who have made their mark in books through this very day, and the power and positivity of modern women in this region. "This is but an inkling of what this talented artist has in store for the gallery and for you and we hope that you join us on April 25 for the complete story and collection!" - Ara Gallery (Dubai)
'Alia' by Khawla Al Marri
The story of 'Fighter' is a powerful mix of two subjects. One is the fact that Arab women warriors have always existed throughout history. They were warriors who fought bravely in battles and made their mark in history books. The other, is the power and positivity of the contemporary Arab women, in this region, and the milestones she has been able to achieve.
Artist Khawla Al Marri takes inspiration from women in her life. All these females have spread positivity which she is accentuated with colors in her paintings. The colorful women warriors have a prominent presence on canvas that overrides the bleak background.
