In support of 'A Woman's Journey: Destination Mount Everest', photographer Sami Al-Tokhais has shared with us his incredible photographs of the Himalaya Mountains, in particular the Annapurna region including its Annapurna Mountain Range and Mount Machapuchare.
This campaign is about highlighting the fact that physical fitness reduces the chances of developing breast cancer. Breast cancer prevention could be just as simple as walking everyday and taking care of your health. Without training, determination, and faith the ladies of this campaign would not have been able to take part and to trek to an altitude of 5400 meters.
Saudi photographer Sami Al-Tokhais’ series of travel photography capture a striking sense of peering into an undisturbed moment in time. To explore the idea of seeing without being seen, the body of work focuses on allowing events to unfold on film without disturbing the locale.
In his extensive travels, Al-Tokhais whisks us to far away destinations and offers us a unique front seat view into the lives and daily-grind of different cultures. The budding lensman’s images capture the sincere essence of a location drawing in the viewer to its raw beauty through snippets of daily life, creating a series that is both familiar and vaguely mysterious.
