Today, Don't Miss: A Conversation with Artist Ayman Yossri Daydban > March 18 2-3 PM at @PavilionDubai #Dubai

CHANGE
A Public Art Project
by Ayman Yossri Daydban

The concept of ‘Change’ is perennial. However, the rate of change witnessed by the artist’s and the upcoming generation has no parallel in history. We live in a world where realities are constantly being redefined and reassessed; to adapt is a race where concepts of values, principles and morality keep changing. Norms are but transient concepts.

The purpose of the project is to engage the community to reflect on the impact of the speed of change internally and externally on the human race. These changes are witnessed by a mature generation that needs to adapt, and a younger generation in a state of confusion.

The art presented is from the artist's on-going series  ‘Subtitles.' The series is comprised of still films, which, when removed from the context of the film they were taken from, are re-born as a unique source of content, with no past or alternative function. The work will be shown at The Pavilion, Desert Fish, Traffic in Dubai and Maraya Art Center in Sharjah.

“I do not bare news. All is known to you. But I changed.
I sw
ear to God I changed.
All I am about to tell you from hereon forth is a lie. Lies on top of lies.
So do not believe me
I apologize from the bottom of my heart
I am now a new being, living in a new world”
