Traffic presents I Think I Love You
A solo exhibition by New York-Dubai based artist Lantian Xie
Opens September 13th - 7pm, at Traffic
I Think I Love You is an installation of oil paintings produced by art workers in Dafen, China. Paintings are crafted as replicas of a single publicly distributed image of His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, and constitutional monarch of Dubai. Each painting measures 1.3m wide by 2m tall.
Lantian Xie was born in China and raised between Bahrain & the United Arab Emirates. He is a recent graduate of the MFA program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a recent recipient of the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award of the United Arab Emirates. He currently spends his time between New York City and Dubai.
