La Fontaine centre of contemporary art in Bahrain will be hosting an art exhibition by the Japanese artist and architect Tatsuo Yamamoto – titled Resonance – on Sunday the 12th of February 2012.
The concept is based on bamboo groves and reeds in the wetlands, where invisible winds and vibrations in the surrounding air cause branches and leaves to shake. Nature becomes the instrument – and creates sound as light and shadow intertwine.
The exhibition will compromise of installation sculptures and furniture – and for opening night, two very well-known Japanese drummers will animate the evening as well as causing the artworks to vibrate to the drummers’ beat.
